My name is Brandie & I love mixed media art in all forms! I live and work in Big Sur, California. My “normal” job is with California Department of Transportation, or Caltrans & I’m a Heavy Equipment Operator on the scenic and historic Highway 1. My day job is challenging and dangerous at times, but in my free time I unwind to create my inspirations in this beautiful area I call home!
In my studio I make things I LOVE from inspiration of Big Sur, including the colors and textures. My husband and I love the California Coast, and he initially encouraged me to pursue my dreams of making beautiful things by buying me a rock tumbler after we took an anniversary trip to Cambria, California. If you have been there, you know how beautiful the sand, rocks, and driftwood on the beaches are! I was so inspired! It began there, and I haven’t stopped! My maiden name begins with a “K”, so I go by Brandies Kreations, or Brandies Mixed Media.
