In Monterey County, the unemployment rate for those with disabilities is 72%. Abilities Cafe seeks to counterbalance this disparity by creating a cafe that transforms disabilities into opportunities through our curriculum based training program. Our cafe will provide our community and potential future employers with direct experience of the many “abilities” our teammates possess. We provide job coaches which will bridge support for our teammates as well as the businesses that hire them after their graduation from our program.
