Sunny Side of the Mountain is a high vibrational string band rooted in bluegrass, folk, and country. Led by Amy Warren, the band grew out of musical relationships formed jamming for years at festivals, where members of the band developed their musical chemistry pickin’ familiar songs until the sun came up. Now they are bringing all that joy, camaraderie, and chemistry to the stage with a mix of traditional favorites and original material.

Amy Warren is a Monterey based musician and long-time Guitars Not Guns instructor with the Marina Teen Center program. She serves on the board of the Northern California Bluegrass Society and as a volunteer for the California Bluegrass Association. The band also features Marty Varner, a Santa Cruz local who also plays with the popular Bay-area Dusty Green Bones Band, and Elijjah McCullar, an extremely versatile local fiddle/violin player and world music specialist.
